8. Punt Legacy Edge browser extension

Punt Legacy Edge is an optional browser extension for eligible subscribers. It is an odds-comparison and analysis tool: it reads publicly displayed racing odds on the pages you visit and shows your own AI predictions from your Punt Legacy account. This section explains exactly how it handles data.

What it reads

On supported bookmaker and Betfair race pages you visit, the extension reads only publicly displayed odds and market data — runner names, saddlecloth numbers, win/place prices, and Betfair back/lay prices, liquidity and market status. It does not read your account balance, bet history, stake sizes, deposits, or any personal account details, and it never reads or stores your passwords.

What it sends, and where

Public race schedules — the extension fetches public race lists and page URLs from bookmaker and Betfair public endpoints. These requests send no personal data.
Your own AI predictions — the extension requests your saved predictions (and can run new ones) from your own Punt Legacy account at puntlegacy.com, sending only race identifiers (track, race number, date).
No analytics or third parties. The extension contains no analytics, tracking, telemetry, or error-reporting services. It sends data to no third party, and we do not sell or share any of your data.

What it stores on your device

The extension stores your settings (selected bookmakers, display and filter preferences) and cached public race URLs locally on your device. If you enable its optional data-logging feature, it can also save race odds and your own AI picks locally for your own analysis — this stays on your device and is never uploaded; you can export or clear it at any time. None of this local data is transmitted to us.

Sign-in

The extension uses your existing puntlegacy.com and Betfair browser login (the session cookie already in your browser) to work. It never sees, stores, or transmits your passwords or login tokens, and it sets no cookies of its own.

Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions it needs: to open and navigate a background tab to the race you're viewing, to read the odds on that page, to save your settings locally, to keep its data feed fresh while open, and to access the specific bookmaker, Betfair, and puntlegacy.com pages it supports. It requests no access to any site outside those it needs.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use. Punt Legacy Edge's use of information received from Google APIs and from the websites it operates on adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only collect and use data necessary for the extension's single purpose — comparing odds and showing your AI predictions — and we do not transfer or sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
